About Five Seasons Financial Planning
Five Seasons provides portfolio management and personal financial planning services to individuals and families, and to their related entities including trusts, estates, charitable organizations, and small businesses.
What is the Five Seasons Difference?
Five Seasons Financial Planning is strictly a Fee-Only financial planning and investment management firm. “Fee-Only” means that the firm’s compensation is solely from fees paid directly by clients, thereby reducing conflicts of interest. In other words, Five Seasons does not receive commissions or payments of any kind from mutual fund sponsors, broker/dealers, insurance companies, or any other third party, for selling annuities, insurance, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, limited partnerships, or other financial products.
In addition, the firm is not affiliated with entities that sell these financial products or securities. The Fee-Only business model sets us apart from most other "advisors" and ensures that you receive objective financial guidance.
Five Seasons Financial Planning is a registered investment advisory firm. As such, we have an unqualified "fiduciary obligation" to our clients, a legal duty to place your financial interests first and foremost, regardless of which facet of your financial life we're addressing for you, and regardless of the types of retirement and investment accounts you own.
Five Seasons is a boutique wealth management firm. We aspire to have only a limited number of clients, but to provide service to each one that is personal, private, and exclusive. Unlike what you get from most of our competitors, we don't believe in canned investment portfolios and boilerplate financial plans. We honor our relationship with you by providing customer service and attention to detail you will not find elsewhere. Because your financial circumstances are unique, the services you receive from us are customized to you, your needs and your goals.
As a privately held, independent advisory firm, we are free to choose the products, strategies, and solutions that are right for you. We are not beholden to the corporate agenda of a Wall Street firm. Our research on your behalf is thus not tainted by conflicts of interest that have plagued Wall Street giants.
Many people assume their best bet is to sign on with one of the big brokerage firms. But in my experience, often the brightest and most thoughtful advisers are at smaller financial-planning shops, so don't be put off if an adviser works alone or with just one or two others. Also look for advisers who are forthright about costs, including not only their fees, but also the fees charged by the investments they will recommend.
